Who Does the Right Blame For the Club Q Shooting? The Victims.
Oh, and they’re making some threats, too.
Following the shooting at the LGBTQ night club Club Q in Colorado Springs that left five people dead and dozens injured in what is being investigated as a hate crime, the reaction from the right wing has been surreal.
On one hand of course, you have Representative Lauren Boebert, who tweeted:
“The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. This morning the victims and their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence needs to end quickly.”
Well, it didn’t take long for Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to see this, and respond. She wrote:
“You have played a major role in elevating anti-LGBT+ hate rhetoric and anti-trans lies while spending your time in Congress blocking even the most common sense gun safety laws. You don’t get to “thoughts and prayers” your way out of this. Look inward and change.”
Unsurprisingly, Boebert had no response to what AOC had to say.
But of course, then there was Tucker Carlson’s program.
