Well, Super Tuesday is upon us.

The day when it seems as though Donald Trump is inevitably going to cement his place as the nominee for President of the United States for the Republican Party. Now that it’s here, it’s impossible not to consider what this means for the broader picture of the Republican Party, and more specifically the donor class. A donor class that has spent these past fifty or sixty years carefully building and molding a group of right wing government leaders in their image. Lawmakers who have never been shy about doing the bidding of those who sign their campaign checks, no matter the cost to their donors.

And now, well, this donor class is paying for it.

At least, to an extent.

We all know they’ve got money. They’ll be just fine.

But, it was never supposed to be this way, was it? Feeding the monster was never supposed to end up like this. The people were always supposed to buy into their gimmick, right? The frustration was for them to take advantage of, not to lose control of to the hands of Donald Trump. A man who they seem to loathe and despise more than their opponents.
