What’s Nikki Haley’s Solution to School Shootings?
The GOP presidential candidate wants to end gun free zones.
Last night I watched what ended up being a very exciting NBA playoff game like I’m sure many others were as well, but of course there was a CNN Town Hall going on for GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Of course, it should come as no surprise that she had a few interesting takes on some issues, and gun violence and school shootings in particular were no exception.
In one of her answers, Haley said:
“The reason a lot of these happen — and you mentioned the shooting at the schools — you need to end gun-free zones…”
End gun free zones…
I still gave not forgotten Amerie Jo Garza, who was slaughtered during the mass shooting in Uvalde Texas just over a year ago. Her father worked at the local hospital and was on scene to provide medical assistance. An obviously hysterical little girl covered head to toe in blood came to him, screaming and crying that her best friend was dead. He asked her who her best friend was, and she said “Amerie”.
That’s how he found out his daughter was dead.
