What’s AOC’s Latest “Controversy”?

She thinks Palestinians should be able to eat, and apparently that’s an issue.

Ah, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The favorite target of the right wing, and we all know why. Not only is she a young woman with brown skin who happens to be a Democrat in a position of power, but she’s unapologetically genuinely on the left as well. Since before she was even elected the GOP has had their eyes on her, and they have loved using her as a way to rile up their base in a multitude of ways. She’s a threat to them, and they’re not hesitant to make her a focal point.

But what’s the latest controversy?

Well, apparently it stems from a CNN interview with Jake Tapper, which was clipped for social media by a right wing account and goes as follows:

“Jake Tapper: “…Israeli officials also argue this war could end tomorrow if Hamas freed the hostages and laid down the arms. Do you disagree?”

AOC: “I do disagree, because what we are talking about, famine, the actions of Hamas should not be tied to whether a three year old can eat. The actions of Hamas do not justify forcing thousands, hundreds of thousands of people to eat grass as their bodies consume themselves…”
