Well, it’s nearly time.

We are in the thick of the 2024 Presidential election, and the first debate between presumptive nominees President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump is about to take place. On Thursday, June 27th CNN will air the first debate of the election cycle, and the rematch that quite frankly none of us really wanted to see will be happening.

But, as the time for the debate gets closer I’ve found myself considering exactly what type of approach Joe Biden should take.

He cannot allow Trump to control the narrative, and we all know he’s going to try. The thing is, Trump will inevitably shift the conversation to the right, and it feels almost inevitable that the President will take the bait. That’s the thing with the corporate wing of the Democratic Party. The money and disgusting corruption that’s infiltrated our politics has led to this almost engrained desire to try and appeal to as many conservatives as possible, as opposed to embracing and emboldening the ever growing left wing within the party and the country overall.
