What is Going On With Rep. Lauren Boebert?
The congresswoman from Colorado has a lot going on, and now domestic violence has been added to the list.
Oh, Lauren Boebert.
Things continue to get weirder for the Republican Colorado congresswoman. It wasn’t long ago that we all saw the reports and video evidence that she and her boyfriend were engaging in sexual acts in a crowded theatre full of kids, then she announced she was switching congressional districts to run for reelection and now, a domestic violence incident with her husband in which she reportedly punched him.
Caleb Ecarma with Vanity Fair writes:
“Lauren Boebert, the volatile national embarrassment from western Colorado, has delivered once again. Over the weekend, the second-term Republican congresswoman denied punching her ex-husband in the face several times after the two reportedly got into it at a restaurant located in her district. She has since conveniently cited the incident to justify her preexisting plan to leave Colorado’s Third Congressional District — where she eked out a reelection win in 2022 — and head east to compete for the state’s deep red Fourth District.
