What Does Sen. Bernie Sanders Think is Going to Happen to Social Security Under President Donald Trump?

As is often the case, I think the Vermont senator is correct.

It’s been a long couple of months since Donald Trump officially became President for his second term. It’s felt like an eternity. A seemingly endless barrage of headlines leaving us unsure of where to even begin when it comes to trying to understand and acknowledge what he has done. In the chaos of it all, it’s admittedly easy to lose sight of some things that don’t have to do with tariffs or executive orders.

One of them being social security.

But leave it to none other than Vermont senator Bernie Sanders to remind us of one of the key and critical issues looming that we’re frankly unprepared for what Trump could potentially do.

“…During a Fox Business interview on Monday, Musk denounced “entitlement spending” — expenditures on programs like Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare — as “the big one to eliminate,” while claiming without evidence that Democrats use the programs to “attract and retain illegal immigrants” before “turning them into voters.”
