What does 2024 Have in Store For Kamala Harris?
There’s a lot of questions about the VP’s political future.
Of all the prime figures in today’s Democratic Party, there are few that leave me with more questions than Kamala Harris. It seems as though the overwhelming majority of the time that the focus is on her, she fails under the weight of the pressure. She is awkward, uncomfortable, and struggles to come across as even remotely sincere at times. With Biden running again and the administration seemingly ready to run with her, it does certainly pose some questions about whether she’s more of an asset or a liability.
Recently, I had a conversation with my pretty conservative Mom about how she views Kamala Harris and Biden’s decision to run again that offered interesting insight into how they’re perceiving this moment.
My Mom is convinced that Biden’s running again because he can then step down and allow Harris to take the reins, and she thoroughly believes that’s the only way Harris would ever see the Presidency.
Now of course, that’s a pretty conspiratorial mindset. I don’t see Biden actively planning to win the election again and put himself through a campaign season just to hand over the reins to Harris, and it should go without saying that they know how negatively that would be perceived by…
