Well, So Long Twitter?
Elon Musk has apparently decided on a rebrand.
Ah, Twitter.
It’s hard to believe it’s been around for almost twenty years. Watching the social media platform balloon into the massive public square with all of its good and bad was something I never saw coming when I made my account to follow my favorite musicians, actors, and actresses when I was fifteen. I still remember how excited I was when I happened to get a follow from Harry Styles, who I idolized at the time and whose music will always have a special place in my heart.
See, social media’s not all that bad? If handled responsibly, that is. Unfortunately since he bought Twitter, Elon Musk has seemed bound and determined to bring out the very worst of it and now, for whatever reason, has decided a rebrand is necessary.
It’s no longer called Twitter. It’s simply…X.
