We Have to Talk About That Police Body Cam Footage From Tyreek Hill’s Arrest on Sunday.

It was pretty disturbing, and the force was absolutely unwarranted.

As many may have heard by now, it was widely reported over the course of the day on Sunday that Tyreek Hill, star NFL receiver for the Miami Dolphins, was arrested on Sunday on his way to the stadium for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars for what Miami Dade Police called a traffic violation. Not only that, but his teammate Calais Campbell was put in handcuffs as well when he approached and attempted to deescalate the situation.

Well, the body cam footage was about as bad as the public was led to believe by both Tyreek Hill and his teammates who witnessed it.

Of course, many were quick to point out that he was being “difficult”.

Sure. He was. There’s no denying it. But to watch an officer open his door and not even give him a chance to stan dup and get out before he was being grabbed and dragged to the ground and had multiple officers on his back was absolutely surreal. He plead for them to “chill”, and yelled into his phone to his agent Drew Rosenhous that he was being arrested. He frantically yelled for his teammate Jonnu Smith to call his agent back, meanwhile another teammate (Campbell) pulled over…
