‘Vote Blue No Matter Who’, Except When a Socialist Wins?
Let’s talk about what’s going on in Buffalo’s mayoral race.
In a dramatic upset and much needed victory for the left, nurse, mother, activist, and socialist India Walton handily defeated four term incumbent Mayor Byron Brown in the primary, and is now poised to become the Mayor of Buffalo. Not only that, Walton will be the first socialist to become the a Mayor of a major U.S. city since 1960.
That is, of course, if Byron Brown and the Democratic establishment don’t get in her way.
Byron Brown is in the midst of a major write in campaign, and will be appearing on the ballot in November. That is, of course, unless the Erie County Election commissioners are successful in their lawsuit to keep him off the ballot. Campaigning intensely to hold onto his office even though he lost the primary, under the slogan ‘write down Byron Brown’, Brown is willing to send the election process into chaos for the people of Buffalo simply because he is unwilling to accept defeat.
Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot.
