Valuing Those Who Speak Truth to Power.

A little appreciation for one of my favorite leftists who will never get enough credit.

“So if your strategy is to defend the rich, by all means go right ahead.” — Kyle Kulinski, on FOX News

This day in age of social media, political polarization, and less willingness to engage, there is an immeasurable value in those who have the ability to cut through all the noise. You can’t help but respect someone who is able to get people you yourself thought would be unreachable to pause, think, and acknowledge a point.

I’ve been following Kyle Kulinski’s program, Secular Talk, on YouTube for about five years now. But it wasn’t until I finally listened to his podcasts with Joe Rogan in the car this weekend that I fully realized just how incredible he actually is, and everything he has done to take this country back for the people. All it took was going on to YouTube to watch the last part of the podcasts, and scrolling down to the comments to remember just how absolutely brilliant he is.

It cannot be understated what a valuable asset Kyle Kulinski is to the leftist, progressive cause. He speaks in a way that has proven to resonate across both sides of the political aisle, because of his authenticity, intelligence, and wit. Of course, who would Kyle be if he wasn’t calling himself names and laughing about how he’s just goofing off at the mic. But everything — and I mean everything — I have seen from Kyle comes from a place of good intentions, full of substance, holding true to his principles, and advocating for the greater good. Of course, he makes time to entertain his audience as well.

Let’s remember that we have Kyle to thank for the Justice Democrats organization as well. If it weren’t for the organization he co-founded, we would have no Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, or others who are literally risking their safety in order to serve their constituents and the American people. I don’t think it’s a stretch by any means to say that he has given an entire generation newfound hope and interest in our political system, but of course he’ll get no credit for it.

Is it any surprise that in a media system plagued by people profoundly unwilling to look beyond their own group think, that no one took Kyle seriously or viewed him as credible when he sounded the alarms during the 2016 election? In all the years I’ve been watching him, I have never seen the look on his face that was there when he leaned forward, and told Joe Rogan that he had been laughed at for saying he thought Donald Trump could beat Hillary Clinton.

And that right there, for me, is what makes Kyle everything that he is.

It showed a very honest, almost instinctual hunger to be taken seriously. Of course at the same time it showed his detest for organizations that determine what gets taken seriously. Kyle is not there to make you feel comfortable. He is not there to tell you what you want to hear. He is there to tell you what you need to know, and he doesn’t care what toes he steps on when he does so. That’s why Kyle was one of the very few people who ended up correctly predicting that the Mueller Investigation would not find sufficient evidence that Trump conspired with Russia to fix the election.

Kyle Kulinski is the epitome of why independent media is everything that this country needs. He is proof that something as simple as integrity can do absolute wonders not just for audience information, but for the level of discourse, debate, and the ability to convince. America craves someone like him, and that’s why he has evolved from a poli sci major just out of college doing this just for the hell of it, to the force he is today. There is not a doubt in my mind that he’d probably scoff at all of this, but Kyle is the future of the American Left. It’s about time we realized just how lucky we are to have him.
