There’s a lot of notable characteristics to Donald Trump’s campaign style. We all know that the victimhood narrative has carried him far and is a constant theme particularly during and after the 2020 election, and his ability to attack his fellow right wing candidates is unmatched. But of course, there’s no discussing Donald Trump’s campaign style without mentioning his willingness to fling anything at the wall in search of something that will stick.

Recently, that’s been education.

Michael Stratford with Politico writes:

“Former President Donald Trump is calling for a drastic expansion of the federal government’s oversight of colleges and universities, vowing to “reclaim” campuses that he asserts are “dominated by Marxist Maniacs and lunatics.”

In a video released by his campaign on Tuesday, Trump outlined a plan to reshape higher education if he returns to the White House, echoing some of the policies that his possible Republican primary rival, Gov. Ron DeSantis, has pursued in Florida…”

“Marxist maniacs and lunatics”

Really lays it on thick, doesn’t he?
