Trump Has a Warning: Educators are “Allowed to Teach Transgender”.
And they can’t do that without “parental consult”.
Well I can’t believe I just stumbled across this one.
Granted it happened earlier this month and I’m a little late to the party, but I just had to talk about it.
Apparently, former President Donald Trump is weighing in on the education debate and warning his supporters that educators across the country are able to “teach transgender”.
At a recent event, Trump’s speech was filmed where he said:
“No teacher should ever be allowed to teach transgender to our children without parental consult.”
Ah, yes.
Those dangerous teachers teaching transgender to the kids.
There’s something surreal about watching someone like Trump talk about a topic he clearly has no knowledge of, or is even interest in for that matter. Word salad, at the end of the day. Nothing more. Buzzwords meant to grab the attention of the base, and that’s it. It’s just a lazy approach at more of the same from the right wing, and why would we expect anything else?
