Trump Blamed ‘Wokeness’ For the Women’s National Soccer Team’s Loss.
Because what else would he say?
With each passing election cycle, the Republican Party seems to get more hand more shallow and heading into 2024 the trend does not appear to have changed at all. I’m not sure Ron DeSantis is capable of giving a speech or press conference without saying the word “woke” at least twice and while he might have knocked him for it not long ago, Trump has jumped in on the trend as well. This time, when discussing the recent U.S. women’s soccer team’s loss in the world cup.
On his social media website Truthsocial, Trump wrote:
“The “shocking and totally unexpected” loss by the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden. Many of our players were openly hostile to America — No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close. WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA…”
