Trump apparently tested positive for Covid before his debate with Biden.

I wish I could say I’m surprised.

Ah, who can forget when Donald Trump had covid? Those bizarre, almost surreal few days that ended with watching the former President walk into the White House full of people without as mask, gasping for air after leaving the hospital against medical advice. Oh, and then there was the time when he decided it would be a good idea to do a little loop around Walter Reed Hospital in a car full of his own Secret Service Security detail just so his base could get that “show of strength” they craved. Well, new details have begun to emerge about Donald Trump’s bout with Covid, and his last chief of staff says that he tested positive three days before his first debate with Joe Biden.

Martin Pengelly with The Guardian writes:

“Donald Trump tested positive for Covid-19 three days before his first debate against Joe Biden, the former president’s fourth and last chief of staff has revealed in a new book.

Mark Meadows also writes that though he knew each candidate was required “to test negative for the virus within seventy two hours of the start time … Nothing was going to stop [Trump] from going out there.”
