This is about the people who will not get the vaccine. And I know there are people in right wing states who take the virus seriously, obviously. But how is it a carrot if people can just lie and say they got it? Then it’s not a carrot anymore. That’s literally the entire point of what I’m saying. Without a centralized way to monitor who is vaccinated and who isn’t and without universal vaccine policies, this is going to prompt people to lie and put themselves and others at risk. It’s irresponsible and way too drastic of a change way too soon.
