They’re Not ‘Moderate’, They Are Corrupt.
Corrupt corporate Democrats don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
It should go without saying that I’ve certainly made my feelings clear regarding Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and all their colleagues who hide behind them out of cowardice and convenience. They have proven themselves to be obstacles, and are more than happy to embrace that role. Given that reality, it irritates me to no end to see them constantly lauded and referred to as “moderates”.
They’re not moderate, they are corrupt.
In reference to the budget reconciliation bill, Daniel Boguslaw with The Intercept writes:
“Sinema has told Democratic colleagues, according to the New York Times, that she will oppose any tax increases on either corporate or personal rates, essential pillars of the legislation. Her opposition to tax hikes on the rich comes amid a major spending blitz to encourage her to stand against any tax increases on private equity executives or hedge funds.”
