The Trump Administration is Preparing to Try to Abolish the Department of Education.
The move is as unsurprising as it is devastating.
One of the biggest cliche’s we come to find to be true is that history will repeat itself. If you want to figure out what a certain modern day event or action is going to do to impact the future, just look at what a similiar move has done in the past. Obviously, this is relevant when it comes to the right wing, and fascism in particular. If you look at far right wing governments throughout the course of history, you’ll find that many will eventually get to a point where they operate with full confidence, and use shock and awe as a tactic.
It’s what the Trump administration, after only a few weeks, is doing right now.
We are being constantly bombarded with news. Every single day there are headlines that should, theoretically, shock us. Moves being made that should concern everybody. But, there are so many, it’s difficult to keep track or devote the time and attention neccessary to combat them and develop a narrative.
