The Humanity of Palestinians Continues to be Denied.
We cannot ignore Israel’s blatant war crimes against the people of Palestine.
I’ll be the first to admit I’m not an expert when it comes to the middle east, the conflict between Israel and Palestine being no exception. But, given everything that we have seen happen over the past week alone as the fighting continues to escalate, it’s become increasingly apparent that we really don’t have to be an expert in order to see the asymmetrical power dynamics between them.
On the night of May 15th, 2021, Israel bombed the road leading to the Al Shifa Hospital, the main and largest hospital in Gaza. Since May 10th, 40 Palestinian children have been murdered, half of them being under the age of 10. Earlier on the very same day that the roads to the hospital were bombed, eight Palestinian children and two women were murdered in a single attack, and the building that houses dozens of press offices in Gaza was reduced to rubble by Israeli bombs, President Biden’s administration tweeted:
“Today the President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, reaffirmed his strong support for Israel’s right to defend itself against rocket attacks from Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza, and condemned these indiscriminate attacks against Israel.”
