The Firearm Death Rate in Florida Has Gone Up, and Ron DeSantis Blames Covid.
Unfortunately, you can’t make this stuff up.
The further we have gotten into the Republican primary as the election season continues to ramp up, the more clear it has become why Florida governor Ron DeSantis has failed to resonate at all with conservative voters. The more we see of him, the more clear it becomes that he has the charisma and personality of a toothbrush, and he struggles to even make his smiles look genuine. There was never really a chance that voters were going to choose him over Trump, his campaign has begun to freefall and well, the worse it gets the more we see why.
Recently, it was brought up by NBC reporter Kristin Welker to Ron DeSantis that the firearm death rate has gone up in Florida.
What does he blame?
He immediately deflects to Covid.
Everything about the clip, whether it be that look on his face as though he couldn’t believe he even had to sit there and listen to her bring it up, to the condescending, hostile, and dismissive tone when he gave his answer was infuriating to watch.
