The Diane Feinstein Situation Just Continues to Get Worse.

She’s sicker than they were willing to admit.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that 90 year old California senator Diane Feinstein has been unable to perform her duties in the Senate due to illness, the fact that she doesn’t even remember being absent for months certainly added a whole new layer of concern. Not only does it become glaringly clear that she is unfit for office, but the fact that she is still sitting in the Senate could almost be considered elder abuse.

But would it be American politics if it didn’t get even worse?

Evidently, the illness she was dealing with is worse than her staff and family cared to admit to the public.

Isabella Ramirez with The Daily Beast writes:

“Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who missed more than 90 Senate votes after she was hospitalized for shingles earlier this year, suffered from swelling of the brain and facial paralysis, two anonymous sources familiar with her diagnosis told The New York Times.

The 89-year-old senator suffered post-shingles encephalitis, the Times reported, a rare but severe complication that can bring about headaches, mental confusion, memory or speech and language problems, impaired movement, irritability, and personality or behavioral…
