The CDC’s Latest Guideline Change Feels Like a Recipe For Disaster.
It seems as though in many states, we could be heading for a mask, vaccine free-for-all.
Everything about the Covid-19 pandemic has been a whirlwind. Whether it be the anxiety of a new Covid-19 virus that scientists new little about, or the fact that well over half a million people in the United States alone have succumbed to it, I’m sure I’m not alone in finding that it has been difficult to process just how much we have all been through in the past fourteen months. That said, as more and more people become vaccinated and we begin looking forward, unfortunately it appears as though the CDC’s recent guidelines seem to be getting arguably way too far ahead of where we are.
As of May 13th, the CDC has said that except under limited circumstances like in healthcare settings, their guidelines suggest anyone who is fully vaccinated does not need to wear a mask either indoors or outdoors.
Needless to say, I and many others are viewing this as a recipe for disaster.
When making these guidelines, did they even bother to take into account states like Texas or Florida, with Governor’s who haven’t taken this pandemic seriously from the beginning and a large segment of their population hasn’t either? Does the…
