The Anti-Vax Trucker Demonstrations Have Been a Mess. Imagine if the Left Was Responsible.
Only the right wing could get away with the chaos these demonstrators are causing.
If you follow the news at all, it’s all but guaranteed that you’ve heard about the demonstrations taking place in Canada and in some areas, spilling over into the United States. A group of truckers primarily in Canada have decided to take part in a “freedom convoy” in protest of vaccine mandates, all but taking over Ottawa’s city center and essentially holding the bridge between Detroit and Canada hostage, disrupting commerce to such an extent that workers at vehicle manufacturing plants are being sent home.
Of course, it doesn’t end there.
Truckers in Ottawa in particular have been causing such a disturbance not just to commerce and business, but to residents that a Canadian Judge ruled they are banned from honking their horns for ten days, due in part to the fact that they were honking them all night long.
The right and even some supposedly on “the left” have gone so far as to call this a populist uprising, and declared it’s representative of workers standing up for themselves and their rights.
Really?
