Sorry, But Hakeem Jeffries’ Viral Speech Was Lame.
We all know why he’s getting the praise.
We’ve certainly seen our share of theatre and optics on Capitol Hill this past week, haven’t we? Whether it be the 15 ballots it took to get Kevin McCarthy elected, GOP congressmen pretending they were going to vote for Kevin and then walking away smirking when they didn’t, or Katie Porter reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck on the floor of the House, suffice it to say they all certainly seized the opportunity to get some time in the spotlight.
Among them, of course, was Hakeem Jeffries during his speech following all of the drama where he said:
