How are we going to pay for that?

Here in the United States, one of the richest nations on earth, there are insurance executives profiting off of five year olds with leukemia.

There are people forced to set up a Gofundme just so they can afford to take off time from work to be with their terminally ill 22 year old daughter, and enough people to fill a football stadium die every single year because they are uninsured or underinsured. Life expectancy is on the decline and depression on the rise. As the very richest among us double their wealth, people are forced to work two or three jobs just to survive. But as the American dream slips away at a rapid pace and we ask why we can’t have programs like Medicare For All, paid maternity leave, free public college education, or literally anything that’s going to help the American people, lawmakers and pundits oftentimes have the same tired, cliche’ response:

‘How are we going to pay for that?’

But conveniently enough, there’s no hesitancy when it comes to ramping up a proxy war.
