So Trump is Demanding the Termination of the Constitution.

Oh, and that he be reinstated as President as well.

For over two years, Donald Trump has spent virtually the entirety of his existence dwelling on the 2020 election, and his loss to Joe Biden. He has spent these two years insisting he was cheated, that the election was stolen, that he is the rightful President, and demanding those close to him do the same if they wish to stay in his good graces. Well, the shtick still isn’t getting old for Trump, who has decided to ramp up the rhetoric in this area.

On his social media company Truth Social, Trump wrote:

“So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

So not only is Donald Trump insisting he be reinstated as President, he’s insisting we terminate the United States Constitution.

I mean…where do we even start?

Personally, the first thing that came to mind is that — unsurprisingly — Trump has not learned a single thing from the results of these past two elections, has he? I’ll admit it’s pretty satisfying to think of how angry some of the top Republican donors, pundits, and lawmakers must have been after seeing this, knowing the broader electoral implications. It’s not the first time that I’ve made the argument Donald Trump is willing to burn the Republican Party to the ground for the sake of his own ego and delusions, and we’re witnessing it in real time.
