So, Maybe TikTok’s Not Quite Done in the United States After All?
Joe Biden’s administration has decided not to enforce an upcoming ban, and will leave it to Trump.
Well, it’s been a long saga that has ultimately boiled down to…nothing?
TikTok is poised to be banned in the United States as of January 19th. After years of conversations about it and threats, I’m not sure anyone actually thought it would happen. It’s become such a fixture in our culture, and I’ve found myself wondering what my new go to for recipe ideas is going to be once the app is gone. I’m definitely not as attached to it as other people are, but I’m certainly going to miss the hundreds of recipes I have bookmarked and the accounts that posted them. In the midst of all the toxicity there is on social media there’s certainly some gems on TikTok. I dare anyone to challenge the notion that the viral video of the older sister fixing her little sister’s hair after the other sister cut her bangs the night before picture day isn’t one of the best things they’ve ever seen on social media.
That said, maybe it’s not gone after all.
President Joe Biden decided to thrown a twist into the plot on his way out of office.
