Senator Manchin Opposed Biden’s Federal Reserve Nominee. Here’s Why.
The corruption continues.
It should come as no surprise that for myself and many others on the left, there are few in “Democratic” circles that we despise more than West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin. How can we not loathe the man, when he is relishing in his power to stop any progress whatsoever? Like his fellow obstructionist counterpart Kyrsten Sinema, he has enjoyed being in the headlines to remind the left that no, nothing will get accomplished if they have anything to say about it.
Well, Manchin recently made headlines yet again when he announced he would not be voting for Biden’s nominee for the Federal Reserve, Sarah Bloom Raskin. As a result, Bloom Raskin withdrew her name from consideration for the position.

Sen. Joe Manchin, the most conservative Democrat in the Senate, said Monday that he opposes one of President Joe Biden’s nominees to the Federal Reserve, leaving her candidacy to join the central bank with the slimmest of hopes.
