The Kentucky Senator outlined some of his biggest fears if she were to win.

It seems like just yesterday the news broke that President Biden was in fact going to step down from his reelection campaign, and almost immediately after endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris. It wasn’t long before she was the presumptive Democratic nominee, and in all honesty I’ve been surprised at her ability to garner and sustain momentum so quickly. With the election rapidly approaching, things are going well and I feel as though I can say with confidence that the Democrats now have an excellent shot at winning.

And, well, Republicans are acting like it. Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell being one of them.

Ellie Quinlan Houghtaling with The New Republic writes:

“…“Let’s assume our worst nightmare — the Democrats went to the White House, the House, the Senate,” McConnell said during his keynote speech at the National Conference of State Legislators Legislative Summit last week, according to Spectrum News. “The first thing they’ll do is get rid of the [Senate] filibuster. Second, you’ll have two new states: D.C., Puerto Rico. That’s four new Democratic senators in perpetuity.”
