Sen. Mitch McConnell Has Officially Handed the Republican Party Over to Donald Trump.
After years of feuds, McConnell decided to endorse the former President as he prepares to step down from his role as Senate Minority Leader.
Of all the American politicians who have walked the halls of the White House and the Capitol building, there are very few who have had more of a lasting impact in recent decades Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Of course, those around him know it, and it’s the reason he’s had such a sustained position of power in some of the highest offices in the land.
Well, fast forward to today, and enter Donald Trump.
A man who has been the thorn in the side of McConnell since before he even took office and proved to be every bit the demon that the Senate Minority Leader helped to create. The entire Republican Party establishment has faced a reckoning, forced to confront the fact that they’ve made their beds and are now doing everything they possibly can to avoid lying in it.
But, to no avail.
