Sen. Bernie Sanders is Right. Democrats Are a Threat to Democracy.
Let’s talk about his recent podcast interview.
From the time he emerged on the national political stage in the 2015 election, there’s no denying that Bernie Sanders managed to resonate and connect with younger generations in ways that other politicians could not. I’ve said many times before that what the Democratic Party did to him both times he ran for office has left me more jaded about American politics than arguably anything else, and for good reason. It solidified that they have no intention of allowing a fair primary process, and that the Democratic Party as currently run and constructed is not going to allow a populist to succeed.
And maybe that’s why Bernie Sanders admitting the Party is a threat to democracy resonates so much.
