Russia is Launching a Full Scale Invasion of Ukraine.
Cooler heads must prevail, but will they?
As virtually anyone who has simply been scrolling through the news headlines already knows, talks regarding a potential Russian attack on Ukraine have been a topic of concern for weeks now.
Well, it happened last night.
In a show of theatre to top it all off, President Vladimir Putin took to the airwaves to announce military operations within Ukraine at the same moment reports within the country began to surface of explosions not just within regions controlled by Russian separatists, but Kiev as well.
As I have said before, I remained very skeptical that anything like this was going to happen until very recently, when Biden made a point of giving a televised national address to tell the American people that he was convinced an attack would take place. While I still was hesitant to believe it outright, there was absolutely no denying that Biden wasn’t going to make a televised address to deliver this news unless there was ample intelligence.
Now here we are, with conflict already resulting in fatalities and the national sovereignty of Ukraine being called into question as people make note of the fact that Putin is laying the groundwork for a textbook full scale ground invasion.
