Ron DeSantis is Telling Donors He Knows How to Beat Trump.
We’ll see how that goes, won’t we?

I haven’t been shy about the fact that part of me really does love the horse race aspect, electoral of politics. I love campaign season, watching the debates, and looking at polls to see how the public responds. Of course, there’s really no denying that I’m fascinated to see how the seemingly inevitable debate between former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is going to unfold.
As midterms approach and politicians begin to look beyond them, it should come as no surprise that these two are already looking to the battle. While Trump hasn’t exactly been holding back in voicing his displeasure at DeSantis’ rise, DeSantis himself is now getting ready for the campaign against the leader of the GOP.

DeSantis tells donors that, if he takes on Trump, he would launch a full frontal attack on his record and competence, according to a GOP source briefed on the conversations. “DeSantis says the only way to beat Trump is to attack him head-on. He says he would turn to Trump during a debate and say, ‘Why didn’t you fire Fauci? You said you would build the wall, but there is no wall. Why is that?’ ”…”

We’ve seen enough of these two personalities over the past couple of years to get a good idea of what’s going to happen. DeSantis will do exactly what he said, ask these questions, and all Trump’s going to have to do is call him a whiny little phony would be nothing without him on national television to put an end to it.
To an extent, DeSantis is correct in his theory that he’s going to have to come out swinging if he wants any chance whatsoever of beating Trump. That said, Trump’s got the…
