Right Wingers Have Been Disrupting School Board Meetings. Why?

I don’t think it’s all about Covid.

The conversation about coronavirus and the nation’s response to it has been increasingly centered around children, and for good reason. With children under 12 still unable to be vaccinated and largely being forced back into classrooms, many parents want to ensure that at a bare minimum, mask mandates will be in place to ensure their safety. Of course, things have only been growing more tense and hostile as there are people on the opposite end of the issue as well.

There have been a steadily rising number of incidents involving right wingers and school board meetings. In Florida, a fist fight broke out at a meeting after anti-mask protestors allegedly pushed a doctor. Of course, it’s not just the left noticing increased hostility and bizarre remarks at school board meetings. Personally, the woman who used her time addressing the school board to discuss how this virus “hoax” was an attempt for the government and school board to come for her children comes to mind. But conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza made some interesting and revealing remarks when tweeting out a link discussing school board members calling it quits over the increased tensions.
