Republicans Look Like They’ll Take Control of the Senate in January.

This election could define what’s to come for an entire generation.

The closer we get, suffice it to say that it looks as though Republicans should be feeling quietly confident heading into this upcoming election.

Why wouldn’t they? After all, it looks as though Donald Trump is polling better than he was in either of his last two elections at this point, and while it’s far from a guarantee Democrats should be feeling incredibly nervous. Now, there’s polling out that shows the GOP is poised to take over the Senate.

Shane Goldmacher with The New York Times writes:

“Control of the Senate appears likely to flip from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party this fall, as one of the nation’s most endangered Democrats, Senator Jon Tester of Montana, trails his Republican challenger in his bid for re-election, according to a new poll from The New York Times and Siena College.

Mr. Tester, who first won election to the Senate in 2006, is winning over moderate and independent voters and running far ahead of the Democrat at the top of the ticket, Vice President Kamala Harris. But as of now, that does not appear to be enough to survive in Montana, a conservative state where former President…
