Rep. Marjorie Greene Would Like to Rename the Gulf of Mexico.
It’s always something.
There are no words to even begin to describe how sick and tired I am of Georgia lawmaker Marjorie Greene. I’m sure I’ve made that abundantly clear by now. That said, there’s something to be said about someone who always, without fail, consistently managed to maintain her relevancy and keep her name in the headlines one way or another. It’s what she does, and she does it well. Of course, it’s been no different recently. Greene has now decided to introduce legislation to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.

“The American people are footing the bill to protect and secure the maritime waterways for commerce to be conducted. Our U.S. armed forces protect the area from any military threats from foreign countries. It’s our gulf,” Greene said in a written statement announcing the introduction of the bill.
“The rightful name is the Gulf of America and it’s what the entire world should refer to it as,” she said…”
