It’s a matter of days before the GOP’s firm control of the White House, Senate, and Congress is solidified. The closer we get the more everything that lies ahead begins to sink in. We’ve already seen lawmakers like Marjorie Greene make their intensions and plans clear, proudly flaunting ridiculously insulting gimmicks like renaming the Gulf of Mexico. But of course, she’s not alone, and none other than Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert has stepped in with plans of her own. She wants to abolish the ATF.

Christa Swanson with CBS News writes:

“Rep. Lauren Boebert announced on Thursday that she and a fellow Republican in the House of Representatives have introduced legislation to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Boebert, who represents Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, is working with Rep. Eric Burlison from Missouri on the bill.

The ATF is a law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing federal criminal laws regarding alcohol, tobacco, firearms, explosives, and arson. It often works in partnership with federal, state, local, and international law enforcement…”
