President Joe Biden is Calling For a Ban on Stock Trading For Members of Congress.

Oh…where to begin.

Well, we’ve reached that point.

The 2024 election is well behind us, and it’s a matter of weeks before Donald Trump officially takes office again for his second term as President of the United States. Exactly as one would expect, the Biden administration has been getting things like pardons and judicial appointments solidified and done before their term ends, and naturally, it’s that time where they try and leave on a high note.

Now, President Biden has decided it’s time to call for the ban on members of congress being able to trade stock.

Chris Megerian with The Associated Press writes:

“President Joe Biden endorsed a ban on congressional stock trading in an interview that’s being released this week, belatedly weighing in on an issue that has been debated on Capitol Hill for years.

“Nobody in the Congress should be able to make money in the stock market while they’re in the Congress,” Biden said.
