Trump’s potential VP pick is political suicide.

Well, suffice it to say that the midterm elections went about as bad as one could have expected for a Republican Party that spent the past two years telling us there would be a “red wave”. It’s been as satisfying as it is surreal to watch the factions of the Republican Party attempt to deflect blame and point fingers, but overall, the consensus among the pundit class appears to be that it was none other than Donald Trump who cost them.

It’s a fairly reasonable conclusion to come to, given the fact that he all but demanded that his hand picked and endorsed candidates make the lie that the 2020 election was stolen from him a central component of their campaigns. He demands loyalty, returns none, and his willingness to back any candidate who licks his boots regardless of how they would perform in a general election was undeniably a factor in the underwhelming performance for the GOP in these midterms.

But, with all of that behind us, I can’t help thinking about how Donald Trump has repeatedly floating the idea of Georgia Representative Marjorie Greene as his running mate. The former President is set to announce his candidacy as soon as next week, and the idea of Marjorie Greene running alongside him is admittedly…
