Pay Attention to What’s Happening In Texas.
Once again, reproductive rights are under threat.
From the moment that the Roe vs. Wade ruling was handed down over 50 years ago, the right wing has been plotting and thinking of ways to destroy it. They spent decade after decade organizing, voting, and maintaining patience until their opportunity came and when it did, they seized it. Since the hard right wing supreme court recently overturned the ruling, reproductive rights have been under constant attack across the country. With the way today’s news cycle works and the overloading of information we’re bombarded with, it feels as though at times we tend to forget that they’re not stopping.
Right now, we should probably be paying attention to Texas.

“The Texas Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a pregnant woman from obtaining an emergency abortion in a ruling issued late Friday.
The court froze a lower court’s ruling that would have allowed Kate Cox, who sued the state seeking a court-ordered abortion, to obtain the procedure. “Without regard to the merits, the Court administratively stays the district court’s December 7, 2023 order,” the order states.
