Once Again, Tiptoeing Around Joe Manchin is White House Policy.
Because that turned out so well the first time, right?
If there’s anything you can faithfully rely on Democrats to do, it’s to double down on failed approaches and strategies that get them absolutely nowhere. In the years I have been following politics, there are no words to describe how infuriating it is to see Democrats insist that their unpopularity is because they’ve moved too far to the left, in spite of all the evidence and data we can see right in front of our eyes telling otherwise. Things are looking so bad for the Democratic party that over a year out, we’ve already seen warnings coming from “concerned” corporate, corrupt Democratic lawmakers preparing to blame left leaning Democrats like AOC and Cori Bush for the loss Democrats have coming in November midterms.
Interesting, considering they’re some of the only lawmakers who have consistently been fighting for the agenda that Joe Biden himself ran. The agenda that got Democrats elected in the first place.
But equally as maddening has been their approach towards obstacles like West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin. An approach that according to reports in Politico, the White House only intends to double down on.
