Once Again, Joe Manchin is the True President.

Every once in a while, he likes to remind us.

As I’ve said countless times before, Joe Biden appears set to go down as one of the most weak, feckless, ineffective leaders in the country’s history. There is not a single promise he made on the campaign trail he has kept, and the polling surrounding his performance seems to be reflecting how unsatisfied the voters are. But of course, you can expect in those circumstances that some of those around the President will be more than happy to steamroll him.

Every once in a while, West Virginia’s Joe Manchin likes to remind us he’s actually the President, the one leading the Democratic Party and calling the shots.

This time, unsurprisingly, Manchin has decided that any climate change and tax provisions will be stripped from the economic package that’s in the midst of negotiations.

Tony Romm and Jeff Stein with The Washington Post writes:
