Of Course Sen. Mitch McConnell Wants More Defense Spending.
All the right wing knows is conflict.
At this point, it’s hard to imagine the American right wing, the Senate, or our political landscape in general without Senator Mitch McConnell.
The Kentucky Senator has been at the forefront of this movement for decades, the godfather of staying patient, on course, and building up the American judiciary in their image, and ultimately getting their way. He is an elite political strategist if there ever was one, and he has been at the root of it all for years. He’s tried and true, a remaining relic of the old right wing establishment.
I suppose then, it should come as no surprise that Senator McConnell is calling for more defense spending.
Erin Kelly with Spectrum News writes:
“At a global security forum at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, McConnell said America isn’t doing enough to meet the threats it faces.
McConnell stepped down from leadership last year and isn’t seeking another term. He now serves as chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense.
Under President Donald Trump’s proposed budget, a 13% increase would put defense spending at over a trillion dollars.
