No, that’s not the case at all. This piece is just specifically referring to private prisons and their role in our criminal justice system. I have PLENTY of issues with the entire criminal justice system, but I do think that a very good place to start with criminal justice reform would be to end private prisons, which are a HUGE factor behind people being locked up for victimless crimes in the first place. that’s all I’m trying to say here, as well as providing some background into the industry.
