No Republicans Voted For His Covid Relief Bill. Does Biden Still Expect Unity?

Under the guise of trying for bipartisanship, Democrats are allowing Republicans to dictate policy when they don’t need to.

After nearly two months, Joe Biden’s Covid relief bill is ready to go. As Americans await the desperately needed and inarguably inadequate $1400 checks, one can’t help noticing that in both the House and the Senate, there was not a single Republican lawmaker who voted for the passage of this bill.

Joe Biden ran on unity. From the moment he announced his intentions to run his message was filled with platitudes about coming together, healing, and restoring the soul of the nation. Lacking in policy, when setting aside the platitudes of “unity over division, science over fiction”, Biden’s entire argument essentially boiled down to the idea that he was the only one who would be able to get Republican lawmakers to come together with Democrats, see the light, and worth with them for the common good of the country.

After going to the House, then to the Senate, and back to the House to be voted on three different times, not a single GOP lawmaker voted for it.
