Nikki Haley’s Still Not Doing Herself Any Favors.
Her response to the backlash for her Civil War comments wasn’t any better than the initial answer.
Former UN Ambassador and current Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley just doesn’t really know when to stop, does she?
It’s been an interesting few days for the Republican politician, having to answer for a response about what what caused the Civil War in which she conveniently didn’t mention slavery. During the CNN Town Hall event she took part in with fellow Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, Haley certainly didn’t make things any better for herself.
Caroline Vakil with The Hill writes:
“…During a CNN town hall in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, Haley was asked to respond to criticism made by fellow GOP White House candidate Chris Christie after the former U.N. ambassador initially omitted slavery in her answer about the cause of the Civil War. Christie claimed she had answered the way she did because she was “unwilling to offend anyone by telling truth.”
“No one’s ever said that I am unwilling to offend. I offend plenty of people, because I call people out when they do something wrong,” Haley said during the town hall.
