Nikki Haley Now Leads Ron DeSantis in Iowa Polling, Too.

But of course, Trump is still dominating.

Another day, another bit of rough news for Florida governor and presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis. It hasn’t exactly been good since the start of his campaign, which has almost seemed doomed from the beginning if we’re being honest. It’s been hard not to make note of and relish in the fact that he’s been damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t thanks to his decision to tie himself so closely to Donald Trump in order to elevate his gubernatorial campaign.

Well, not only is DeSantis trailing both Trump and Nikki Haley in New Hampshire, he’s trailing the both of them in Iowa now, too.

Sudiksha Kochi with USA Today writes:

“…Nikki Haley is taking the lead over Ron DeSantis in Iowa just a few days before the caucuses, a new poll finds.

But a Suffolk University poll, conducted Jan. 6–10 among 500 likely Republican caucusgoers, shows the former South Carolina governor and Florida governor both still trailing Donald Trump. The former president has maintained his position as a frontrunner throughout the race and 54% of voters say he’s their first choice, according to the Suffolk poll.

Meanwhile, the poll found that 20% of voters said they would support Haley, 13%…
