Mike Pence Refuses to Endorse Donald Trump.

All things considered, I would hope he wouldn’t.

Well, it’s been official for a little while now…Donald Trump is once again the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

Ron DeSantis. Nikki Haley. Chris Christie. As much as it might have been speculated that at least one of them might be able to actually give Donald Trump a challenge on his path to the nomination, none of them really came close. It’s felt like a given that the nomination was his since before he even announced his intentions to run for reelection, and now here we are.

Personally, I sort of wondered how his former Vice President would handle the situation, and Mike Pence gave us the answer.

Veronica Stracqualursi with CNN writes:

“Former Vice President Mike Pence on Friday said he “cannot in good conscience” endorse presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, a stunning repudiation of his former running mate and the president he served with.

“Donald Trump is pursuing and articulating an agenda that is at odds with the conservative agenda that we governed on during our four years. That’s why I cannot in good conscience endorse Donald Trump in this campaign,” Pence said on Fox News.
