McConnell Wants Manchin to Join the GOP.

He’s already one of them isn’t he?

Joe Manchin has undoubtedly enjoyed all the time he’s had in the national spotlight. At least, we can assume so considering it’s unlikely he would take it upon himself to act as the de-facto President and determine the fate of any legislation he chooses. In the year that Biden has been President there is absolutely no denying that Manchin has spent the time acting as a better aide to the GOP than the Democratic party he theoretically counts himself a part of. Obviously it’s not just the left that’s noticing this trend. Mitch McConnell has as well, and evidently he is so impressed he’s openly courting Manchin to join the GOP.

Kevin Freking and Farnoush Amiri with ABC News write:

“Mitch McConnell is done with subtleties. The Senate Republican leader is putting his party’s courtship of Joe Manchin on full public display after the West Virginia Democrat’s fractious split with the White House over the president’s big social and environmental spending package.

McConnell says Manchin “feels like a man alone” and if he were to switch parties, “he would be joining a lot of folks who have similar views on a whole range of issues.”…”

If that’s not an indication of how things are going, then I’m not sure what is.
